Director of Product Marketing

Celona is hiring a Director of Product Marketing for the next phase of its growth: someone to influence all forms of advocacy within our expanding community of professionals. These audiences include sales engineering and account managers in the field, their channel and ecosystem partners, customer prospects and existing Celona customers. It is expected that you will strongly influence Celona's product management, growth marketing and marketing communications efforts.

Job #1 for this role would be to accelerate the time it takes to positively influence opinions when it comes to Celona's growing technology and product stack, along with its long term vision as an industry leader. Over time, it is expected that you will build the necessary product and technical marketing expertise within your team as we define the next chapters of growth for Celona.

Under your leadership, this team will own the product positioning efforts against the competing solutions in the market while in close partnership with Celona's product management and CTO teams.

In this position, you will directly report to the VP of Marketing. Responsibilities

The Basics

  • Define key success metrics as part of a quarterly product marketing plan.
  • Ability to identify key next steps in being able to overcome unexpected results.
  • Own the execution of an ongoing cross-functional content marketing plan.
  • Use data to measure results and inform decision making and strategy development.
  • Ability to lead a group of individuals in a fast paced work environment.
  • When all is back to normal, travel within the US and globally at 20-30% of the time.

Leading the Team

  • Influence marketing communications and branding goals, and articulate the insights given a set of growth marketing results.
  • Develop strong partnership with field sales and channel in an effort to accelerate their conversion rates in between stages for their sales opportunities.
  • Own creation of the sales playbook and enablement for inside sales, field sales and sales engineering teams internally and within key channel partner organizations.
  • Influence growth marketing tactics to accelerate conversion rates from leads to marketing qualified leads across different segments with an active role in marketing campaigns.
  • Use customer and competitive research to influence product strategy and drive effective messaging, and amplify value propositions that differentiate Celona in the market.
  • Craft engaging audience-specific marketing assets and content, including solution briefs, web content, presentations, data sheets that can be utilized globally.
  • Create competitive positioning and messaging with necessary enablement material to positively influence the market views on Celona's solution differentiation.
  • Lead cross-team marketing activities and define key GTM efforts to ensure successful public launches for technology partnerships and product introductions.
  • Conduct TCO and ROI analysis, develop vertical / industry specific content to help customers make the business case for the use of Celona technology.
  • Attract product and tech marketing professionals to the team - inspire and lead an effective team through rewarding success and opening gateways for career growth.
  • Support the team in setting clear goals and key results. Ensure that those are communicated and visible across the company and progress is shared regularly.

You will be an ideal candidate if you have:

  • Marketing experience in cloud infrastructure and enterprise SaaS, preferred.
  • Marketing experience in cellular wireless and/or enterprise networks, preferred.
  • Marketing experience within the private LTE and 5G wireless ecosystem, preferred.
  • Strong background in enterprise B2B sales and marketing.
  • Strong examples of negotiating skills with product management.
  • Proven experience being self-directed and working with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrable skills in product positioning from past product launches.
  • Exceptional presentation skills with examples of customer engagements.
  • Examples of direct sales and channel enablement efforts with clear results.
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing with clear records of success.
  • 2+ years managing product and/or technical marketing teams.
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Excellent spoken and written in English.
