Product Manager – Hardware

Celona, founded in 2019, is an early stage innovator on a mission to bring reliable and intelligent private LTE/5G wireless networks to Enterprises. Our solution combines the power of 5G radio technology, edge computing, and machine learning to deploy a zero-touch private wireless network that seamlessly integrates with an existing enterprise network over the high-speed CBRS spectrum.

Celona’s product team works to bring our vision of next generation 5G Enterprise Campus solution to market. As a member of the Product team, you’ll be responsible for the end-to-end success of our 5G RAN products and the corresponding firmware capabilities they require.  Celona’s approach to product management is rooted in a deep understanding of the customer. You’ll learn about our customers’ operations, identify the most meaningful problems that we could solve for them, and develop a product vision that maximizes the impact Celona can make on the market. We’re looking for an experienced Senior/Principal Hardware Product Manager to take ownership of our new 5G RAN initiative, and drive the vision, roadmap, and priorities to bring that to market later this year. This highly visible role will require you to lead every aspect of creation - from architecture and initial sketches through detailed design and the final drive to mass and sustaining production. Success will require a blend of customer empathy, strategic analysis, technical knowhow, and effective teamwork as you help expand the reach of our hardware platform to customers across the globe.


  • Own the vision, product strategy and execution from concept to planning to delivery to the customers of our 4G LTE & 5G RAN hardware product lines
  • Drive the business & technical relations with ODMs and OEMs for hardware sourcing and supply chain
  • Interpret customer feedback, research market trends, and solicit inputs across product teams to prioritize and communicate a multi-year roadmap for devices and firmware
  • Project demand in the market and inform forecasts with Finance and Supply Chain
  • Control product schedule through NPI, coordinating with sourcing, packaging, certification, and quality teams. Provide technical guidance as needed
  • Interface with firmware resources and incorporate feedback into the development plan.
  • Balance technical trade-offs such as compute, storage, form factor and performance capabilities to deliver winning solutions that meet customer needs
  • Design: Work closely with our design partners to develop industrial design for new products and on-going improvement for existing products based on feedback
  • Explore new technologies and hardware trends through networking with industry experts and facilitating insight sessions with our current and target customers

You will be an ideal candidate if you have:

  • 5 -7+ years in a product management role for hardware products
  • BS and/or MS in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • Technical fluency and familiarity with hardware and embedded systems development processes; and can establish credibility with engineers and is willing to get hands-on
  • Expertise in RF and wireless standards
  • Strong domain knowledge of 3GPP RAN technologies (4G LTE and 5G NR)
  • Experience in working with RAN ecosystem vendors: SoC/chipset providers, ODMs, radio/antenna companies
  • Knowledge of compliance and hardware certifications (FCC, ANSI, etc)
  • Ability and willingness to travel for business needs and work across time zones
  • Temperament to thrive in a highly dynamic, high growth environment

Bonus Points if you have:

  • Experience on the 5G RAN infrastructure with deep knowledge of technical, ecosystem and business aspects. This includes latest trends of vRAN and Open RAN and associated hardware and software implications
  • Experience with antenna design
  • Experience taking products to market internationally is a plus
  • Familiarity with manufacturing processes and build management.
  • Familiarity with B2B sales processes is a plus
  • Ideas on how you'd do your job while on a journey around the solar system
