Celona is seeking an experienced QA Engineer – RAN who would help us ensure that Celona’s enterprise 5G LAN solutions meet both customer and internal quality expectations. Candidates must possess initiative, adaptability, problem solving skills, and sound understanding of QA processes. Candidates with LTE/5G and CBRS/OnGo experience would be a huge plus! Please note that is a hybrid onsite role in Cupertino, CA.


Responsibilities

  • Candidate will be responsible for feature validation, system, and performance analysis for Celona’s 4G/5G LAN products
  • Work with software development engineers, field support engineers, product managers, and software test engineers to analyze customer requirements and use cases, gather technical details, and create software test plans
  • Build and maintain testbeds and related network infrastructure
  • Involve in wireless system testing, certification, IOT and System Performance
  • Provide clearly documented bug reports that gives a detailed characterization of the conditions the bug is triggered, the behavior that results and the ultimate impact on the end users/customers 

Responsibilities

You will be an ideal candidate if you have:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related technical field.
  • 1+ years of experience in QA methodologies.
  • 1+ years of related experience working on LTE, 5G Access Points and/or UE products
  • Hands-on experience testing 3GPP Wireless protocols and standards with a focus on LTE & 5G protocols (PHY, MAC, RLC, PDCP, RRC, etc), Call Processing technologies and Network Architecture (Control and User plane) 
  • Hands on experience with wireless system debugging, wireless protocol analysis tools (QXDM, Wireshark), UE Simulators, Linux systems, Cloud (AWS preferred), Virtualization and Containerization technologies (Kubernetes preferred)
  • Automation experience with Python is desired.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Solid understanding of testing and triage defects.
  • Ability to self-direct, work within constraints and be a strong team player
