Traditionally, cellular technology has given users no control over IP addressing or routing. During the attach process, the cellular provider assigns an IP address and determines the traffic path — typically routing all traffic through the provider’s network to the internet, not the user’s network.
With Celona private 5G, client devices connect directly to your enterprise network — either via an on-site Celona Edge or, in AerFlex mode, directly from the Celona Access Point.
In both topologies, you can assign client IP addresses from Celona or upstream to your own DHCP server, and route devices to specific VLANs via a trunk port.
